E TA left this review about Mossy's Tavern
Previously The Wheatsheaf, this 19th Century weatherboarded roadside pub with some earlier sturctures integrated sits on its own at the edge of the popular Luton Rec'. There is a small outside area to the front, with seats and picnic tables provided in Summer, where smokers can enjoy the view of the main road. To the rear is a car park and garden, nto particularly attractive though and badly kept. The single, dingy and rank bar offers no real ale and no real welcome - the locals aren't a friendly bunch and the landlord has little charm. It's probably worth a look in while passing if you're thirsty, but it's not somewhere I would want to spend time.
