Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Rose & Crown

Shepherd Neame inn in a fine old building (one of many on the High Street), also still offering accommodation. Refurbished in a smart, semi-traditional way in the seating areas around the bar (one of which has a now rare bar billiards table, the first in the UK) and a separate dining room. Also has a partly covered patio beer garden at the back. With two of four handpumps in use, I found Master Brew and Whitstable Bay Pale (£4.40) being poured.

We stayed in the family room which was great - lots of room for the kids to play about and even a box of toys for them to use while they were there, it was clean, neat and tidy. Nice set out of cookies, coffee, tea and water. Great value for your money, the village is quaint and nice for a stroll around. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. The food was fantastic and the service was friendly, everything we could have wanted in one place - can't beat that.
