Strongers . left this review about Thomas Ingoldsby (JD Wetherspoon)
The Thomas Ingoldsby is a Wetherspoons that is carpeted throughout apart from some laminate from the entrance to the L-shaped serving counter in the left rear corner. To the left of the entrance are high tables, and standard furniture runs up the right to a small laminate floored raised seating area at the rear. The usual broad range of keg was available alongside two banks of six hand pumps that were drawing the usual Spoons three plus Phoenix Brewery’s headbanging Wobbly Bob, Wolf Brewery’s Granny Wouldn’t Like It and Kelham Island’s Pale Rider. Other than the prices, there’s not much here to draw one in, although the barman was very friendly.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Thomas Ingoldsby (JD Wetherspoon)
Large, anonymous 'spoons conversion with no memorable features. Duplicated selection of Ruddles, Doom Bar and Abbot plus three Christmas beers - Three Kings from Coach House (£2.66) and others from Wantsum and Saltaire - from the two banks of six handpumps on the ground floor. Also had the usual trio on the three upstairs.

An old school Spoons with lots of wood panelling and the usual library area to one side. There is a fair-sized second bar upstairs as well, plus the hotel side. Ales on were Whitstable Pearl of Kent and Exmoor Gold, plus Ruddles/Abbot/Doom Bar/Bombardier which sadly were repeated on the second block of pumps. Despite this, it seemed quite pleasant and felt slightly above average.
