Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Dog

Very upmarket pub / restaurant / hotel, looking traditional enough from the road, but the various seating and (mostly) dining areas have all been comprehensively refurbished. Also now has a marquee at the back to provide additional capacity, and the place was essentially full on a Sunday afternoon so I was lucky to get a spot in the compact bar area just to get a pint on my walk. With just one of the three handpumps in use, my pint of Harvey's was excellent but eye-wateringly expensive (and oddly priced) at £5.63.
