A Camra Regional Inventory pub because of its historic interior. The vitrolite ceiling panels were very unique and the first I have come across them. They look like white plastic panels at first, but are in fact opaque glass panels fitted into frame work throughout the ceiling measuring roughly about two foot square each. The pub also has some decent oak wall panelling and a couple of tiled fireplaces dating from the 1930's. This is very much a locals pub and found down a side street in a residential area. The locals and staff were very welcoming and chatty and one particular chap sitting at the bar, found great interest in telling me about the pub and the local history in the surrounding area. Beer wise not very exciting, Abbott or GK IPA, I went for a half of Stella, whilst Mrs A had a coke.

The Prince Frederick is a really nice looking pub that is set in a back street.
Once inside there is a single L shaped room with the bar facing,the left side is bare boarded and has normal tables and chairs,there are two back to back bench seats in the middle area,the right side is carpeted and has normal tables and chairs.
I did note the unusual ceiling but dont know how to describe it.
The pub is a Greene King tied house,there were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Belhaven Grand Slam which went down very well in a nice pub,the other beers were Skinners Splendid Tackle and GK IPA and Abbot.
Food is available there were menus on the window sills,quite background music was playing.
The pub was fairly busy with older drinkers.
This is a very pleasant pub that was worth the walk from Bromley town centre.

The eponymous prince in this case was George II’s oldest son, who obviously did not live long enough to ascend the throne. This pub is on the CAMRA inventory of London Heritage Pubs – and rightly so. It doesn’t have the opulence or grandeur of some other pubs on the Inventory, as this is effectively an unspoilt backstreet boozer. The layout is traditional, with the public bar on the left and the saloon on the right with separate doors to the street, although there is a small connecting door between the two rooms. Up a couple of steps behind the saloon bar is another room, which I guess would be regarded as the lounge. This is originally a Victorian pub, but the interior fitting is from the 1930s. The walls have attractive fielded wooden panelling, and the white vitriolite ceiling is quite unusual. The lounge and the public bar both contain dartboards, and there was no sign of any sofas, tall stools or tall tables.
There were three ales on – GKIPA, Abbot Ale and Hook Norton Old Hooky. The food seemed to comprise a heated container with pies etc. This pub is delightfully unspoilt, being a locals’ backstreet boozer. This one is definitely worth a visit if you’re anywhere nearby. I’ll definitely be back if I get the chance.
