Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Number 23

Formerly Ye Olde Crown, now thoroughly refurbished as Number 23 with modern furniture and decor in a white & cream / black & brown colour scheme. Little, almost futuristic, beer garden out back. Two beers each from Whistable and Gadds, the latter No 7 and a cut-priced Festiv'Ale (£2.00) produced for the Folk Week. (NB - Review dates from August 2011.)

This is a very good old fashioned pub with a small front bar and a side drinking area.There were 2 real ales on with the Gadds Rye Pale Ale being in top form.I was told that they were going to do a refurb but I hope they don't change the character of the pub.
