Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Millers Arms

Bold, brick building but unfortunately given a very unsympathetic modern makeover inside. Limited number of high tables leaving plenty of standing room around the counter, with another small area (home to the dartboard) located up one step at the back. No real ale, unfortunately, and not even any John Smiths, so went for the Maltsmiths IPA (£4.20). Only saved from a '4' by the friendly welcome.

This pub looks quite magnificent from the outside, but once inside you realise that it's actually a traditional boozer. Nothing wrong with that of course. The area in front of the bar as you enter is bare-boarded, and furnished with just a few tall stools at the bar and around the edges - no tables here. At the back there is a slightly raised balustraded area that has a handful of normal tables and chairs. A dartboard is on the wall near the door.

The enthusiastic guv'nor here has reintroduced real ale, and I wish him all the best in that endeavour. However, when I was in on Saturday the Bombardier had gone off the previous evening, and the Doom Bar was due to arrive at the beginning of the week. Just my bad luck I guess, leaving me with a half of GK IPA Smooth for £1.70. I didn't see any sign of food or menus. I reckon that this pub is one that will probably rely on its regulars for business, and I hope they appreciate the boss's desire to introduced a more varied selection of beer.
