Traditional locals pub, nice clientele and on my visit 4 handpulls inc Proper Job and Fuggle Dee Dum. Kept well. Friendly landlord and great decor. Worth a visit, one I will return to.

Small basic backstreet terraced local (the smallest on the Isle?). Red walls and white boarding, red fabric stools and banquettes. A collection of accordions sit above the bar. Off to the rear there is a side area with a dart board. Five ales; Courage Best, Caledonian Kick Off, Theakos OP, Brains Rev James and Goddards Ale of Wight (very good nick) plus Old Rosie cider. Friendly locals and the incoming landlord who had been handling a delivery outside made a point of saying hello. We enjoyed our 10 minutes here and if time were permitting I would have stayed for another. Well-worth a visit. 8.5

A small mid terrace locals boozer with original etched glass at the front where there is a small tap room while to the rear is a dart board and a few more tables.Small and cosy with a local radio station providing the muzak. The large collections of bottles on the ledge around the ceiling was impressive but the ale selection from the five handpumps was quite mainstream with Spitfire,GK Abbott,Rockin' Rudolph and Adnams Southwold Bitter (£3.10,in OK condition) with the fifth pump given over the a real cider. The Volly serves the local community well, there was a Slaughtered Lamb moment when we first entered. However worth a visit for the traditional vibe.
