Nicely-appointed village pub. Two rooms inside and the smell of paint made me think it had just been taken over; indeed some of the new décor choices were akin to Linda Barker on smack. Let’s call it an on-going project. Two ales in Doom Bar and a so-so Theakston XB (then again when is XB ever better than this south of Birmingham?). The lemonade was declared the best of the day by Desmond. Staff were friendly and making an effort. The bogs were noticeably well-maintained. Wouldn’t be averse to popping again once Linda’s finished. Maybe this place is her televisual comeback gig?
