Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The High Horse
An unbranded Arkell's house, refurbished and now run by the Dodo pubco. Busy on a Saturday evening, with plenty of mostly younger customers in the various (slightly split-level) seating and dining areas. 3B, Belt Driver IPA (£5.20) and Cotswold Yellowhanmer cider on the three handpumps, and ten other beers and ciders available from the row of craft keg taps on the bar-back.

I found this a rather good looking pub inside, Split levelled it was furnished well throughout with some decent seating. Still an Arkells pub but only one cask ale on, this was Arkells Spring Hopper, the keg offerings were of normal suspect stuff. Certainly worth a look in here despite limited beer options.

Quinno _ left this review about Cross Keys
After an ill-fated stint as Allsorts Café Bar, this has re-opened as a pub and reverted to the Cross Keys moniker. Still an Arkells house with three of theirs on: 3B, Moonlight and Wiltshire Gold (which despite being an Arkells beer was actually quite good, well-kept at least!) plus Old Rosie cider. Belfast-style sink behind the bar held a number of wine bottles. Staple shaped interior, two raised areas on each leg of the staple with a quiet lounge area to rear left, decorated in an unusual Victorian photo wallpaper. Greyish-blue painted wood panelling and laminated flooring in the main bar - not much in the way of creature comforts, more of a sports bar feel. Two TVs showing footy, some of the crowd were a bit OTT and it’s very much a ‘bloke’ pub. Other items of note included a pool, jukey and, intriguingly, “Rock n’ Roll Bingo”. Decent enough for what it is, if the beer stays good I’d say it’s worth a quick pit-stop.
Sept 2013
Now called "Allsorts Cafe Bar" and apparently is a "Rock n' Roll cafe with open kitchen". Closed on my latest attempt to visit a few Sundays back.
