Almost verging on the "fun pub" territory - jukebox loud - lively - looked like it could be a loud night.
We chose it as the front veranda was empty of people in a busy town and wanted somewhere to drink outside.
A good pint of Proper Job was found.

Previously The Robin Hood, this traditional town pub has been knocked through into a single large bar with a pool table , a variety of seats and a very loud music system. There is a small yard at the back which might have good view of the Solent, but as it was dark it was hard to tell. It’s basic, not beautified in any way, vibrant, lively and occasionally earthy. The staff are welcoming, the locals fond of lager, but Doombar and Courage Best were available from handpumps. Sadly, neither beer was particularly well kept, and the best bet seemed to be the Three Hops lager. There is a handy doormat at the back where you can wipe your feet on leaving the lavatory. There is free WiFi and sports shown on the TV. It proudly announces itself as the ‘latest’ pub in Cowes, not for its novelty but for the fact it stays open until 2AM most mornings. For that reason alone it is worth dropping in, but it was actually a good bolthole when the other pubs were full of tourists.
