A two-bar pub with a fairly modernized right side public bar and a more traditional dark wood panelled area (my preference, could have dozed off in one of the comfy chairs) off to the left. Nice front beer garden. Bar billiards table and a selection of daily papers inside. Four ales on; GK IPA, My Generation (Black Sheep), Brains SA and a nice drop of W&E Zinzans. 6 Nations rugby on the telly and the Aussie licensees were well into it. They were also amongst the most welcoming bar people in Berks, good fun and we were sorely tempted to break the crawl and stay longer as it felt like a home from home. A good little pub this, the best in Holyport (and the surrounding area, generally) by a country mile.

We have family in this area and when down from Leeds, regularly visit this pub. Very friendly, great atmosphere and good beer.
