Clive Thompson left this review about Hammer In Hand
Large estate pub with a public bar to the left of the main entrance and a slightly larger saloon bar to the right. Both have large TV's that show live sport. No real ale, standard keg offerings. Clearly has it's own regulars and is a bit club-like but also welcoming to the casual visitor. The pub was built in the early 1960's and took it's name from another pub nearby that had recently been demolished.
