A below-par 1970s estate pub entered through a large car park. On one side is an array of tables and chairs, looking like they're waiting for an unpopular function to come and use them. To the left of the entrance is the main bar, which is untidy but has a welcoming feel to it. There is a lively set of locals who are entertained by a pool table, gaming machine and an enormous TV screen, while a jukebox jams any intelligent conversation that accidentally finds its way in. The wooden floor, low ceiling and collection of football memorabilia cooperate with the low level lighting to make it feel like an old working men's club. There was no real ale, and I don't see my returning.

Not as rough as it once was and it’s been tarted up a bit in last couple of years. The front bar has a dartboard and pool table plus Sky TV. The back room is more of a lounge bar with some comfortable seating. All keg beer.
