Bucking Fastard left this review about The Woodman
A classic village pub, there is a pleasing front garden with benches either side of the path to the front door.To the left is a charming ,small public bar which is more like a snug with it's own bar access. The lounge on the right isn't much larger but the building has been extended to the side and rear meaning that down a step there is corridor seating, while at the rear is a restaurant.
The good sized rear pub garden has a childs play area at the far end.The Covid arrangements are well done with proper track & trace details taken.Food is thai orientated but only available in the evenings Wed to Saturday.
On the ale front Greene King IPA and Abbott will always be available but thankfully guests are also carried which meant a very well kept pint of Tring Fanny Ebbs on my lunchtime visit.
In normal times the pub is at the heart of village life,it's well worth a trip to see some good original features and enjoy the warm welcome.
