This was a McMullens new build in the early 80's I believe, and takes its name from a much earlier Inn from the early 1880's which was situated on College Road.
Usually gets made over roughly every 5-7 years in whatever the latest McMullens fad is.
Currently it's a place more focussed on food sales and is aimed at families with McMullens trend for sterile clean interiors. But the food menu is reasonable and the usual McMullen ales were OK last time I tried them.
It does benefit from having a decent outside garden area which is a pleasant spot in summer, but best avoided at the weekend unless you enjoy other peoples kids running rings round your table.

The Crocodile is a large modern pub that is away from the middle of Cheshunt.
This is a pretty plain looking pub from the outside and there is a large garden at the front of the pub,once inside there was one large smart room that i noticed this was carpeted and geared up for diners,but as a drinker i was made just as welcome, this pub is a McMullens tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of McMullens AK bitter and this was a decent drink the other beer was McMullens Country bitter.
