The pub gives it's name to the immediate area ,it's a 60's two roomed affair with a pool room to the right, the hang out of the young, while to the left is a more respectable lounge with surprisingly a tiled small fireplace above which is the main flatscreen in the room ,thankfully on mute.A mix of high tables and dining style ,one circular with an area out the back in a conservatory which overlooks a childrens play area where thankfully kids can blow off energy if the parent(s) are drinking inside. The food menu was simple pub grub at value prices which suits the area.
No real ale ,multinational keg crap from which Stella at £2.55 the half seemed the best bet.The welcome was friendly and there is a community feel here ,a step up from many of the other estate pubs in Stevenage. However not enough to encourage another visit.
