A back street pub in a largely residential part of east Maidenhead that always had a bit of a dodgy reputation for unsavory behaviour.
It shut down in mid 2009 due to the recession, but reopened in March 2011 after being sold to new owners and being done up.
However it could not shed its reputation for rowdyness and was closed again in August after it had its licence reviewed and taken away on police advice after repeated complaints from residents over issues including anti-social behaviour.
The owners appealed against the decision but was subsequently withdrawn and the building has now been sold to be converted into housing.
