Bucking Fastard left this review about King William IV
Tucked away ,an old pub still sporting a Courage sign, there has been a refurb here creating a smart interior but lacking character. There are two sections,a lounge to the left with seating and loose cushions either side and the loos also either side of a small fireplace, the tap room to the right but with a pine floor scrubbed to within an inch of it's life, and some boxy furniture ,a darts board with a flatscreen off and a juke box not being used while poor muzak was issuing forth.
There is a side courtyard and then a smart beer garden with modern wicker furniture while along the front road there were some very dainty metal chairs and tables.
It all fely quite feminine while I was expecting a locals boozer, and the only ale was Doom Bar,boring and NBSS Acceptable but a rip off at £5.30.I was the only customer on a sunny Friday afternoon and can see no reason to return,it could be so much better.
