The word 'Basmati' has been added to all the signage and for a few years now this has been an Indian restaurant. It does have a small remaining bar with the stumps of three handpumps sitting sadly on it. Sister establishment of the old Verulam Arms in Watford which has since failed. It's quite sad to see not only what they have done to the pub but also what they have done, or haven't done, to a fine old building. It looks derelict and exactly how they think that is going to attract business is a mystery. I can see it going the same way as the Queen Adelaide (?) just up the road.
