At the southern end of the High Street and set above the busy road, there is a veranda under a pleasing metal canopy running outside along the road ,while inside there is a smart looking restaurant up some steps to the left ,the serving bar straight ahead and a lounge seating area to the right with a mix of modern furniture with some sofas, comfy chairs, high tables but little in the way of decoration on the walls. Two handpumps both clipped with Fullers London Pride (ok nick,NBSS 3.5 ) while the pub grub menu wasn't too long ,a bit pricey but my steak & malbec pie was decent enough.Service was slow and the staff spent a lot of time talking to their mates who make up a good proportion of the punters inside on my Wednesday evening visit.
There is a very large carpark and it's close to a junction on the M25 but I found it more functional than interesting.I prefer the boozer atmosphere in the Saracens up the road, where there is more ale variety too.

Designer-furnished establishment apparently part of M&B group, although claiming free house status, nonetheless is a comfortable location to enjoy some good ales (and the food looked nice although not sampled). Lots of ins & outs and nooks & crannies to find a corner in.

A split-level food-oriented pub, with a dark interior and flagstoned upper bar level. There's a slight "Sunday newspaper magazine" interior on the lower level, although the building does show glimpses of its age (likely a coaching inn prior to the advent of the A41). Naff muzak means this is one to take a prospective date to rather than your rucksack and notepad (although the schoolboy in me noted the Finbarr Saunders-esque 'Sticky Platter' for £17.50). There's also an unconscious nod to Wetherspoons with the brown tartan carpet and 'up hill and down dale' route to conveniences.
