Friendly country pub between Hitchin and Stevenage. Selection of real ales and great food including Sunday Roasts. They have a large, attractive garden which is home to two Shetland ponies. Slightly off the beaten track but worth finding!

Beer is well kept but not the cheapest. Usually a guest beer available. Food is well cooked, decently priced and excellent portions. Pam, the landlady, is very friendly and helpful. Our motorcycle club meets there once a month and also have our end of year and other celebrations there. Well worth a visit but watch the car park in bad weather.

Respectable, good looking, decent sort of pub serving respectable, good looking, decent beer but very much in the Greene King style. Food looks OK so take the in-laws there for Sunday lunch, I'm sure they won't let you down.
