Backstreet pub that has been taken over by an Indian restaurant operation, occupying the right hand room off the entrance lobby. Bar area to the left, straight out of 1978 décor and ambience-wise. Large pool table plonked in the centre of the room taking up half the space, with muted TV and stupidly loud music for a Monday night. Just Rebellion Smuggler which was vinegar soup. Exchanged by the be-penguined barman for a none-too-clever Guinness. The one other customer had exited by this point. Let’s hope they’re making money off the curry because as a pub this is a dead loss.
