The first Mc Mullens tied house,there has been a sympathetic refurb after a fire a few years ago.There are two quite seperate rooms,a bar to the front oblong with a bar billiards table and pleasing Victorian fireplaces.Furniture is mixed with some high tables and a bench seat below one front window.This is the place locals sup.
At the rear is a far more plush square lounge,where folk will also dine.It's the larger space and you are fine just drinking in here too.
There are three handpumps offering Macs AK,IPA and their seasonal Bootwarmer in decent nick.
A good community pub,much better than I was expecting.
