The Old Maypole in Water End, North Mymms is , or I should say was, a quaint country side Inn which claimed to date from 1520. But it unfortunately shut down in early 2010 and has been borded up since the.
And Welwyn and Hatfield Council have now approved the application for change of use and the local estate agent Statons is advetising it as a luxuary housing development.
I was under the impression that this was a grade II listed building and though that that was meant to protect this sort of vandalism.
