Cosy Fuller's pub set slightly back off the Lower Luton Road. Despite it being essentially only one room, there are plenty of little corners tucked away. I managed to sit myself well away from the family who had a table in an alcove area just to the side of the bar.
The barmaid was welcoming and in addition to the regular London Pride, they also had Side Pocket For A Toad as a guest ale.

The beer was of reasonable quality, but had to wait an absolute age for the food, which was not worth it.
Paying top price for fish and chips and only getting what can be best described as a pensioners portion is not good.
The only time I got a smile from any of the staff was when she handed back my credit card and receipt.
A return visit? NO.
