Bucking Fastard left this review about Bulls Head
A vast Mc Mullen tied house, the interior has been subject to the work of a pub interior designer who has created a smart dining feel to the left side, and a rustic yet modern pub to the right of the entrance .A L shaped bar serves both sections, while the seating desk lady was on her mobile so I wasn't ushered to a table but could drift around. In parts kitsch, the left side does have a lot of nooks and crannies, while the more pubby part has a low ceiling and faux timbers.
Outside is a paved beer garden with jumberellas while the car park is as vast as the interior.
Clearly food is a draw with a lunchtime menu offering dishes around £9 while the usual Macs pub grub menu was also on offer. My jacket with tuna was surprisingly good.
At the bar Macs AK,Country (NBSS Acceptable) and their Rivertown Isle along with SIPA keg and other mainstream kegs.
You may well feel the interior is contrived but it must have cost a packet and is worth a quint as long as you can put up with the Macs ale.
