Popped in as I was passing, just to take some up to date photos and see if any changes since my 2008 non experience
Much the same as ever, but no waiting to be served this time. I used the "public" type bar at the rear this time. It has remained the same for years, one area for pool, other for sitting & chatting
Seems a lot less busy than it used to be, once upon a time you would have a job to get a table to eat at. On this Saturday lunchtime visit, just one solitary diner in eating part and two drinkers in the public
Maybe they were all in the attached curry house?
Still not sure what to make of this place, not one I would go to as a matter of course, but OK if passing as I was

Returned after a few years break, same pub but seems to have changed hands, and my lunchtime experience leaves lot to be improved upon
Despite only four customers not ready to order + me, the bars were empty, and no staff around, eventually one appeared, told me she would not be long & went outside
Eventually I had a Weston's scrumpy, pleasant enough as I drank it in the sunny garden
3 draught bitters, 2 ciders and usual lagers, 2 bars, one more the dining area as food is available, car park & garden
Was a pleasant pub for years, but from my visit I can only give it 1 star
