A locals' sports pub with a nice old glazed tile exterior, although the inside has had a bright refurbishment in blues, yellows and oranges giving a modern feel. Numerous sports TVs line the walls and, rarely, the dartboard was actually in use at time of visit. Just a rather tired Doom Bar on handpump.

A nice looking pub on the exterior, inside on my visit it was rammed to the rafters full of boisterous football watching blokes, I didn't see much of a beer range, only Doom Bar and Landlord, I may have missed some, It was uncomfortably busy so I decided to move on and leave it for a quieter time as time was short.

A POPULAR pub is due to reopen. .... the Southsea venue – which was crowned the best pub in the region by the Portsmouth and south-east branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra) – is now due to reopen at midday tomorrow.
