The name doesn't prepare you for what waits within, which is largely heavy metal – both the music and the body jewelery. The clientèle in the single large L-shaped bar, into which this Victorian pub has been knocked, was split between those old enough to have owned a Harley Davidson, most of whom were bearded, leather clad and tattooed, and those young enough to wear a Harley Davidson vest, thus exposing more body jewellery and tattoos. The floor is mostly carpeted with some modern oak flooring around the bar. There is a raised area at the end furthest from the door which is shared between the disco and a pool table. Three ales on: I had Hobgoblin, which was in excellent condition and was quite fresh. A very good place for mixing with those who like biting the heads of chickens, and while I do enjoy the company of some motorcyclists (I actually own a Harley Davidson, but not the vest), it is only really the beer that would bring me back here as it was much too noisy to be comfortable.

Update 5 Dec 2009. Went inside at last at lunch time
4 hand pulls featuring Sharp's Cornish brewed ales & Directors. I had Cornish for first pint of the day, found it a bit too sharp / bitter for my taste, but I did have a cold so possibly an unfair judgement
If you can ignore the somewhat garish exterior the inside is more subdued, but follows the theme of art deco, chrome bar stools, tables around walls of one long, but wide, bar area
20% discount for students & services [odd mixture there?]
Never saw food mentioned, but tables are numbered so maybe they do food. Free wifi sign
The bar area has a step down halfway [never spotted that, nearly broke my neck], pool area has three steps up, which means the ladies loo has three down to it as it is reached via the pool area, the steps could be a problem for some
Generally clean, tidy, polite, low volume muzak, 2, but silent, tvs
If in area worth popping in
Only 2 stars because of food & steps issues, could be 3 really so do not let my paltry 2 stars put you off
