A traditional local town pub with a lively following. Sadly it has no real ale, just Doombar in bottles. There is a fully enclosed garden with wooden tables and chairs. Inside are two bars, a public bar and games room with a pool table and darts, and a quieter - though not by much - lounge at the front. It was pleasant, the staff and regulars welcoming, but the lack of ale means I’m unlikely to make the effort again.

Got a new live in staff from Dorset. She used to run a very nice pub near me, so all you lucky people in Hythe pop in and see Stella aka "The Old Bat".
