A Victorian street corner pub in the old part of Southampton, the decor is pretty much as it was when Moby visited in 2016, though the fresh paint has gone. It allegedly has a bar billiards table, though we didn’t see this. There was a dartboard, though, and a piano which was thankfully mute. There were two large TV screens showing live cricket, while further entertainment was provided by a drunk female lunatic. Three handpumps on the bar but only one in use, dispensing Landlord in average condition; this went down well, so we sank a couple more. Also on were Guinness, Inch’s cider, Murphy’s Stout, Amstel, Stella and Cruzcampo. Fine to crash into if passing, but try to avoid the ice.

A street corner pub that was smaller inside than it looks from out.A single room that was apparently undergoing some major interior redecoration work as all the walls were plain unpainted plaster and the carpet still had blobs of plaster all along the base of the walls.Three pumps with two on, Old Speckled Hen and Titanic Lifeboat which was in reasonable condition.
There were a couple of other chaps in there on my visit ,friendly enough as was the landlord,it seemed to me this is very much a low key local's pub, nothing wrong with that though.
