A grand old building which promises more than it delivers. Very upmarket inside with colourful but tasteful decor, exposed ye olde beams, leather sofas and chairs, ambient muzak and very well-heeled punters. Little available at the bar, no ale and only some token kegs. The most interesting, Whitstable Bay, was a tinny-tasting disappointment and I suspect poor line maintenance. With a better selection and a bit more care it'd be a pleasant place to relax.
