A country pub but not far from the M3. First impressions are that food is an important part of the pubs make-up but once inside , though food is evident,there was very much a drinking pub vibe with drinkers probably out numbering diners on my lunchtime visit. Attractively multiroomed with oak beams throughout and carpeted floors, it enhanced the pubby feel. Six handpumps in all, two banks of three at different ends of the bar but the three beers were replicated, Doom Bar, Otter Bitter and Landlord, not overley exciting but the Landlord was a decent drop. Probably not somewhere you would pass by but worth dropping in if you do.
