A large estate pub, the layout is as described by Quinno, below. Outside, there is a large grubby car park and several outside areas - a garden with benches, a children's play area with adventure playground facilities and various tables and chairs dotted around for al fresco drinkers and smokers. On this occasion there was no loud music, just TV showing football and a very loud female customer yelling about everything. The young barman was frustratingly incompetent, though the female bar manager was on the ball and gave us a warm welcome. Two ales on, Hophead Dark Star and Doombar, neither in great condition but drinkable. Food was cheap pub grub, probably bought in and reheated; portions were large and it smelled good but tasted bland. Probably fine as a local but it takes an effort to come here and I wouldn't make the effort again.

Massive suburban estate pub in an aged (but massively extended) building. There are two separate bars over two rooms and a sunken area. Obviously early to early 90s refit - pub carpet, dark varnish wood, modern stained glass bar uppers, that sort of thing. Noticeably clean and tidy. Loud music blarting out though noted that it was different in either room. Dart board spotted. Just two ales on, a yawn selection (if you can call it a selection) of Pride and Doom Bar. My Pride had almost no cellar conditioning and was pretty much fizzy. My half came in a Coke glass and we speculated that meant I got more than a half of liquid. With a bit of imagination and cellar care this could easily become a really good pub, the basics are there.
