A lively town pub in the Victorian high street area, currently run by GK, formerly Hogshead. It has been knocked through to form a single large bar which extends into an extension at the back. It was very loud inside due to the excessive volume of the “music” system, multiple gaming machines and the locals' shouting. The landlord was friendly enough but the bar staff were inefficient and amateurish. The TVs were showing snooker, and the WiFi didn't work. The food was the usual cheap chain stuff. Three ales on: Betty Stoggs, GK IPA and TEA, all badly kept and served too warm. The boxed cider was a better bet. We are not amused.
