My sister and I have been campaigning to get this pub reopened as it was the best pub in Salford! We have collected over 500 signatures, that is 500 potential customers, ex-customers who are desperately sad and despterately awaiting it's reopeneing. There are currently two bidders hoping to secure this pub. One of them to open it as it was, the 2nd - if they do it will be down to my sister and I and our group to raise funds to refurbish the place and get it opened - so either way it will be reopened. A week ago The Woolpackers got together in The White Horse in Eccles, the most that have been together since The Woolly closed and it was a fantastic afternoon! Roman is to play at The White Horse every 2nd week!

The Woolpack was a typical early 70s built pub that was situted on the pendleton estate,the pub was being run by Temple Inns whein i went in here.
Once inside there was a fairly smart lounge and a decent bar,i had a drink in the lounge,there was one real ale on the bar which was Boddingtons bitter and this was a decent enough drink.
I thought this was a fairly nice pub despite its outside appearance.
