The Pen and Wig was a three storey stand alone pub that had a white tiled lower half.
Once inside this pub was quite smart with comfortable seating and it was also carpeted,the pub also did food.
The pub had Websters signs outside which was a bit unusuall for Salford,there were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of John Smiths bitter which was on handpump and this was a decent enough drink the other beers were Websters Yorkshire bitter and Wilsons mild.
This was quite a smart pub for Salford and i think it is a shame tht it has now gone forever.
