The Paddock was a large old pub that was situated at the top end of cross lane.
Once inside i went in a fairly large lounge type room that was comfortable enough,the pub was fairly quiet as i got in here just after opening time.
The pub was a Boddingtons tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Boddingtons bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Boddingtons mild.
This was a decent enough pub to start my crawl in.
Sadly this is yet another cross lane pub to close down.
