The Griffin was a very large pub that was on the corner of lower broughton road and great cheetham street west.
Once inside the pub had a few different rooms and i had a drink in a fairly large room that was more like a lounge,when i visited this pub it was a Whitbread tied house and there were two real ales on here i had a drink of Whitbread Bentleys bitter which was a decent enough drink the other beer was Boddingtons bitter.
I was happy enough having a drink in this pub.
It is a shame that this pub has now been pulled down.
