This is an old traditional village pub and, on the mid-week evening that we visited, it was well patronised by locals. The Pub consisted of a main bar come lounge area off which there was an area that may best be described as a "snug". Again off the main lounge area there appeared to be another room that was a lot more modern in furnishings and I got the impression that work was still in progress here. Possibly another lounge or proposed dining room. However,at present it does not serve food but a notice board outside advertises that Fish and Chips and Burgers are available to carry out. There is also a Tap Room on the right as you enter the pub. There is only a very low step at the entrance so disabled access should not be too difficult.Apart from some of the cloth covered seating needing a bit of a brushing, the pub was clean and tidy. The beers are supplied by J W Lees. The Landlord and Landlady made us feel welcome and we will return.
