ROB Camra left this review about The Royal Oak
This is a proper locals local. It's also on CAMRA's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors. It's very unusual with light wood panelled walls. Whatpub has a very detailed description of the interior. There are 3 small rooms one has a Manchester dartboard, another a TV. 3 handpumps on the bar, but only Robinsons Unicorn actually available. It's not my favourite beer, but this was a good pint. I sat at the bar and had a chat to the friendly landlord and a couple of locals. It's a good pub, let down a little by the lack of beer choice.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Royal Oak
Solid, end-of-terrace Robinsons pub which is not as large inside as one might expect from looking at the frontage. Two small bars with a lot of wood panelling, located either side of the equally small serving area. Hatters Mild and a well-kept Unicorn Bitter on handpump. Very much a community local, but curious rather than unfriendly to a casual visitor.
