A decent place and I assume very different of an evening than it was on this afternoon visit. 5 handpumps with 4 working today. Rock lyrics dotted around the walls with stuff from Iron Maiden, The Clash and Nirvana being quoted, though the one credited to The Clash is someone elses. No Half Man Half Biscuit lyrics though. Which is a shame.

Another visit and another decent pint, Greenfield Silver Owl this time. Same landlord serving behind the bar. Rather quiet at about 7 on a Friday though. It will no doubt fill up later on when the band is due to start.

Now has 5 handpumps including a real cider. The beer was better quality than the last time on our Saturday visit, but still not quite top notch. Friendly landlord, complete with leather jacket and multiple piercings etc. There was a good atmosphere, so we decided to stay for a second pint. It's improving is this pub and we'll probably visit next time we're in Oldham.

When you walk in it is immediately obvious that this is a rock joint. Has live bands on some nights. Has a couple of handpumps dispensing a Phoenix beer and a guest. It's not a bad place to go for a pint. Not great decor, OK beer, as I said it's not bad.
