The Bear on the Hill has an L-shaped bar on the left wall that supports a standard keg range alongside Birra Moretti. What seems like a snug is found in the front left window, but the ladies toilet is adjacent so there is passing traffic. There is seating down the right hand side of the pub from the front to a pool table and dartboard at the rear. Some supporting columns break up the left and right had sides. Televisions are located throughout for airing Sky Sports. My Thursday evening visit was Europa League night which is shown on BT Sport so the televisions were playing muted Sky Sports News and Racing TV whilst some background music played. I found the service to be friendly, but I’d probably walk past if I found myself in the area again.

This is quite a smart place for this chain of pubs, sadly the clientele weren't. Care in the Community in action with lots of Effing almost every other word. There's a pool table at the rear, but I didn't want to stay around for very long, so I didn't get a good look around. A half of fizz and I was on my way. It's probably better than the other Last Orders in Oldham, but only just.
