The Gladiator is a large pub, based in the Tuffley area of Gloucester. In the past it has endured mixed fortunes, but the new owners are pulling out all the stops to revitalise the pub, and return The Gladiator to the heart of the community.
The pub has undergone a substantial refurbishment, there are two separate areas – the main bar which has a bright and modern, yet slightly retro look to it. One major change for the former Enterprise pub, is that it is now a free house. At the moment there are 3 ales on offer, but the intention is to increase the number available.
A new addition to The Gladiator, is a restaurant called Glad Rags, which is located in the lounge area of the pub. At the time of writing, this is still a work in progress. A taste of things to come is the wine list. Another addition are the spacious disabled toilet facilities, an essential item in any modern restaurant.
There is a reliable bus service from The Promenade in Cheltenham, to Tuffley, there is bus stop practically on the doorstep of The Gladiator. There is also ample parking, and the most important item by far, is that the drinks are at very reasonable prices!
