Modernised Marston’s eating house. A large whacked-through U shaped interior which to be fair has retained a relatively pubby feel with carpeting, exposed stone walls and staff who know the locals. The Cirencester-theme clock was a neat touch. Middling modern music with silent rugby on the telly – I do wish pubs would pick one exclusively over the other. Three cask from the Marstons stable; Ringwood Boondoggle, Marstons Pedigree and a surprisingly decent Courage Best (NBSS 3). Pleasant enough 20 minutes, worth a look-in.

The Black Horse is a stone built pub in Cirencesters main shopping area.
This pub had two rooms i went in the lounge and this was smart and quite busy,there were two real ales on here i had a drink of Bass which was not too bad the other beer was Courage best.
Pub visited 3 August 2002.
