New owners Ryan and Laura have recently taken over the Shutters. The food is still top notch and the atmosphere as good as ever.... especially on a Friday.
Really is worth a visit.
The Sunday carvery is second to none.
The Pub has gone through a series of landlord/landlady changes over the last few years but Ryan and Laura look like they are here to stay and deserve our support.

We went to a hillclimb at Prescott today and on leaving decided we needed food. A quick glance at a map showed Gotherington to be the nearest village and there we found the Shutter Inn. Beign from London we have experienced a huge range of establishments, food and service and the Shutter Inn matched some of the best. The service was fantastic, they really couldn't do enough for us. The food from the carvery was very nice indeed and the welcome warm - quite literally, they offered to put the fire on for us as soon as we walked in looking damp and chilled. The decor and furnishings are easy on the eye and comfortable and everywhere was clean and appeared well loved and looked after.
All in all, a very lucky find and cannot recommend this country pub highly enough, if you are in the area, definately worth a visit!
