Reported today that work is proceeding to "strip out" the pub and plans are being submitted to convert the building to flats.

I called in here to see if they had any real ale. One hand pump on the bar, with a Wells Eagle IPA pump clip. Could be worse, I suppose, so I asked for a half. Sorry, I was told, it's not ready yet - how about a half of smooth. No thanks, I replied, maybe another time.

This is a very friendly old style peoples pub,where people talk to each other,with a very friendly landlord with a warm welcome(Kristoff)and staff.
Good selection of Beers and Ciders,garden ,Sky Tv for all type of sports,and horse racing.
Worth a visit .
