Lovely old pub with a fantastic beer garden to idle away those hot summer nights. There were 2 great ales in good condition, although the barmaid did mischarge us on numerous occasions’ as she seemed not to understand the till. After bringing it to the managers attention, everything was put right and we were well looked after, no complaints. The food was excellent and there is a great system in place to notify you when your food is ready if you are sat outside. The only possible criticism I would make is that other than 2 stools at the bar there are no tables to sit and drink at that aren't laid out for food. Well worth a visit though!

We waited for almost an hour for our meals, my Dad's salmon in a white wine sauce was actually not with a sauce, just cooked in white wine (poor wording on the menu).
Our meals were delivered one-by-one with other tables being served in between.
There was absolutely no fish in my Mum's batter and she sent it back to the kitchen. We waited for a replacement and spoke to a waitress after another 25 minutes. She said the kitchen was shut and they'd taken the Cod off of the bill. We weren't even told my Mum would have to go hungry.
Terrible service and bad food.
