Have visited many times over the years as it is far better than the King's Oak at the top of the hill. Called in last week - staff friendly and beer is well kept but menu is very pedestrian and quite expensive. All in all, average.

The pub was extended and refurbished about 18 months ago. It is pleasant inside, but lacks character. The three flat screen televisions are a shame in a bar that is still not that large. Shepheard Neame are the only draft beers available.

This is a nice pub pleasantly situated in Epping Forest. Limited amount of beers however the draught beer I had was excellant. Appears to be a regulars pub as it was obvious that if you were known you got served first. Decided to try the food, I ordered a medium rib eye steak and my wife fish and chips. One of the worst meals I have had, steak raw could not eat it, wifes fish all batter, hardly any fish. May just have been an off day.
